The Ramones pathed the way and influenced so many bands following their past paced style of punk rock. There legacy and success was noted and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and In 2011, the group was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

punks not dead
Laura Marling has said she wants to make a punk album.
Talking to the Guardian a couple of weeks ago she said "My first love was punk, and my current love is punk, so maybe there's a punk album coming, though I probably wouldn't do it under my name." she went on to say "I'd like to make music for as long as I can; it feels like something I need to do," and "But I would like to do things a bit differently. I think I might be coming into my electric phrase"
A Laura Marling punk album!! anyone excited as me?!!
